Triglav is the Three-Headed God, guardian of heaven, earth, and underworld. He stands at the axis of worlds, his three faces turning to sky, soil, and shadow. In him lives the balance of all realms, and those who approach must come seeking unity rather than power.
Appearance & Nature
Triglav is envisioned with three heads, each one watching a realm: one turned toward stars, one to the fields, one to the underworld. He may be upon a sacred mountain or beside an ancient oak, veiled in mist, his forms merging elements of storm, earth, and darkness. The triple figure is both symbol and sovereign.
“They say each head speaks in its own realm, yet all are one.”
Mediator of Worlds
He is not just a god of power, but a bridge: linking sky and soil, life and death. Triglav’s presence ensures that the realms do not collapse into chaos. In myth, he is invoked when harmony is threatened and when the balance must be restored.
“When the three fall out of step, the world trembles.”
Rituals & Offerings
To honor him, worshippers offered threefold sacrifices—at once to sky, earth, and underworld: white, green, and black offerings. They led a black horse between spears and read omens from how it walked, asking which realm’s voice would guide the day. His temples stood on highest hills, where all three heavens could be seen.
“He hears those who honor all worlds, not only one.”
The Enigma of Triglav
Triglav is not distant, nor capricious, but eternal balance made divine. To seek him is to accept paradox—that what holds power also binds harmony. He teaches that mastery over one realm means nothing unless the others are honored too.
“Those who keep the balance walk with the strength of three worlds.”
